My wife has been here several times because she works in Modesto and I work in Stockton. So when we had a chance to go together to eat lunch here, we took advantage of it. This place has a lot of personality and very good food. Love the menu options. Everybody was very friendly in the service was great. The ambience was fun and decorated cute. FYI, it is very popular. Seating inside and outside was tough to come by. We got lucky and found a spot inside, but I could see how getting this to go would be an option. I’ll be back.

Go to the Lucille Diner, that what the boys in the firetruck told me when I asked where's a good place to eat. As usual ...the firemen pull through with a grand slam! I'll give Lucille 5 ☆☆☆☆☆'s simply because they deserve it.

L Wish the water was cold and had ice. They don’t serve cold water. I liked the taste of matcha. It wasn’t the perfect amount of sweet not like Starbucks. Food was good for pricing as well. It was $12-$15 for a big sandwich. I would recommend. I would come again. The atmosphere is perfect

This tiny gem had become my go to in Modesto for breakfast and lunch. The menu is small but fierce with quality ingredients taking center stage. Everyone who works here has always delivered excellent service with kindness. This is a small first come first serve restaurant so be aware it could be really busy and while I have seen some large groups here- come with your patience and understanding if you bring the clan. Everything is great on the menu so sorry not sorry I don’t have a favorite. Fun chic atmosphere with food served on vintage china adds to the fun.

My friends took me here when I came to visit and what a great beginning to our day! The H Street block was right up my alley. Well, really anything in casserole form - but especially French toast. And with syrup and blueberries… this was made for me. And it was absolutely delicious. To make my experience even better, the strongly-brewed iced tea came with free refills. The service was also great and it’s an adorable little place.

My fiance and I went here today for a little breakfast date and we both loved our food. He ordered the south by southwest and I ordered the freshy fresh with egg. I also ordered a vanilla iced latte and it was perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful with the menu. We will definitely be coming back here and recommending it to our loved ones!

Lucille is the extremely rare restaurant that excels at fantastic food, beautiful aesthetics, and truly caring service. As a bit of a gourmand, I normally don't pay much mind to looks or the quality of service at an establishment- some of the best food of my life has been eaten on the sides of roads or at little holes in the wall -but Lucille reminds me of the value of such creature comforts. On the other end of the spectrum, so many restaurants hide behind #aesthetic to serve mediocre food, but not here. Here the food is fresh, innovative, and delicious, while still being absolutely beautiful. I ordered the Early Bird, the coffee cake, and a pink chai latte. The Early Bird was a fantastic and flavorful vegetarian sandwich- I'm not vegetarian myself, but it is always a treat to find a place that truly elevates veggie fare so that it stands equal to meat options. It was fresh and varied, with seasoned carrots, cucumbers, perfectly textured beets, with an herb cream cheese spread on the world's most gorgeous focaccia. Finally made it here. So happy we did! I got the BLT. Amaaaaazing! Another lady said that's the only thing she ever orders. Seating is first come first serve. It was busy but we got lucky with a table. Wasn't interested in a coffee but will go back to try it.
